Obituary

Zelda Ann Berkelhamer, nee Robins, 97. Beloved wife of the late Sidney Berkelhamer and the late Richard Kier; devoted mother of Charles (Helen Saitelbach) Berkelhamer, Wendy Cesario, Janet (Barry) Robbins and the late Anita Berkelhamer; cherished Nana of Richard (Liza) Robbins and Alexandra Robbins; proud great-grandmother ("GG") of Decker and Michael; loving sister of the late Norman (the late Judy) Robins; cherished aunt, cousin, and friend of many. Zelda was born in Chicago and raised in Danville, IL. She was a proud member of the Spanish club at Danville High School. Zelda raised her family in Skokie and West Rogers Park. You could often find her playing her favorite game, Rummikub, with family and friends. Zelda was the "biggest Cubs and Bulls fan in Illinois." She will be deeply missed. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lupus Foundation of America, www.lupus.org. Chapel service Thursday, March 12, 10 AM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W.
