We invite you to honor the memory of your loved ones quarterly, by planting 3 trees and receiving a certificate during each of the four Yizkor holidays: Passover, Shavuot, Yom Kippur, and Sukkot. In the spirit of carrying on traditions, many choose to honor loved ones by planting trees.
This is a meaningful and traditional way in the Jewish faith to show you care and help green the land of Israel. Along with each order, a beautiful certificate is mailed to the recipient with your own personal message. Over the last 100 years, JNF has planted over 250 million trees in the land of Israel.
More About Tree Planting: Trees are planted in Israel where they are most needed and in areas that are most conducive to their growth based on environmental research and geographical need. Currently, areas of focus are in two locations: the Carmel Forest and the Negev Desert. A variety of tree species indigenous to the Middle East such as native oaks, carob, redbud, almond, pear, hawthorn, cypress and the exotic Atlantic cedar are planted.
