Obituary

Yale Brody, age 83, beloved husband of Marsha (née Strock), loving father of Jennifer and Jeremy; much-loved brother of Burton (Denise) and Fred (Lynne); cherished uncle and friend to many passed away peacefully. Yale was a proud graduate of DePaul University and dedicated over 30 years of service as a school psychologist for Chicago Public Schools. In retirement, Yale enjoyed traveling with his beloved Marsha and exploring cities across the United States. He was also a lifelong scholar, always absorbing a new book or lecture on science and history. Most of all, he treasured time spent with his family and deeply believed in the importance of giving back. He gave generously to a wide range of charitable organizations, and his family would be especially grateful for donations made in his memory to the Prostate Cancer Foundation, www.pcf.org or to a charity close to your heart. Chapel service Wednesday, July 2, 2025; 2:30 PM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Interment to follow at Shalom Memorial Park.
