Obituary

Vita S. Browne, nee Strul, age 94, of Wilmette, loving mother of Kenneth Rosenstein, Michael (Maureen) Browne, and Richard (Natalie) Browne: adored grandmother of Martha (John Robinson-Wilson) Rosenstein, Adam, Thomas, and Max Browne, Connor and Collin Browne; devoted daughter of the late Pinkus and the late Florence Strul. Vita had a fierce dedication to her friends; some from grammar school in the Austin neighborhood in Chicago, as well as others whom she met later. She loved to socialize and she loved to talk, and people who met her quickly developed a unique fondness for her. After reinventing herself numerous times, in the mid-1970s she very proudly became a labor and delivery nurse at Evanston Hospital, where later she moved to an OB/GYN clinic. Vita retired from Evanston Hospital after 20+ years of service to travel and spend time with friends and family. Graveside service Sunday, 1:00 p.m. CT at Memorial Park Cemetery, 9900 Gross Point Rd., Skokie. The service will be livestreamed on Vita’s webpage at www.goldmanfuneralgroup.com. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Jewish United Fund, www.juf.org. Info: The Goldman Funeral Group (847) 478-1600.
