Obituary
Susan M. Schloss, 70, April 15, 2023. Cherished daughter of the late Walter and Ilse and much loved cousin of Ellen Robin and the late Suzanne and Jack Hoffman. A daughter of Holocaust survivors, Sue was deeply committed to Jewish life, traditions and values. She was an active member of Congregation B'nai Jehoshua Beth Elohim (BJBE). Sue's passion carried through creating strong ties and cherished relationships with the sisterhood and its members. Sue received her bachelor's degree from Purdue University and her master's degree from Roosevelt University, yet she never spoke of her academic accomplishments. She worked at various galleries including Circle Gallery and North Shore Gallery,where she connected with numerous artists which lead to her later purchase of North Shore Gallery in Northbrook. Sue loved the arts, was an avid photographer and loved to travel. Sue's family included treasured friends Linda Brash, Jordan Brash, Sophia Cohn, Marilyn Friedman, Tom Kalisz, Chris Pawlowski, Bernice Rosenstein, Linda Rukin and an endless list of others.
