Obituary

Susan Beryl Comrov, (Shana) nee Davy, of Skokie, IL, passed away on March 29, 2024, at the age of 73. Born on January 5, 1951, in Chicago, IL, she was known for her exceptional kindness and unwavering generosity. Susan dedicated her life to helping others, with charity being a natural extension of her compassionate nature.

Susan led a fulfilling career as the Shomer Director at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home and as cook for Brisk Yeshivah and other area Jewish schools for decades. Her commitment to her work and community extended to her charitable efforts as volunteer chaplain and as a cook for many years at the soup kitchen. Susan's devotion to her faith was evident in her active participation in Judaism, and countless acts of kindness to her community.

Outside of work, Susan found joy in prayer, philanthropy, and feeding the hungry, reflecting her selfless and caring character. She was a pillar of strength and love within her family, survived by her beloved husband, David Comrov, and her children: Baruch (Ronit), Dr. Steven, Aaron (Elana), Jason (Shoni), Lauren (Nat), and fourteen adoring grandchildren . Susan was preceded in death by her parents, Faith (Minkoff) and Glen Davy.
