In Loving Memory of

Stuart Duhl

April 28th, 2021

Obituary

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the loss of Stuart Duhl, 80, after a challenging battle with pancreatic cancer. Stuart was an amazing family man who will be missed by many. Stuart was an admired lawyer and mentor who served for many years on both the Illinois and National Conference of Bar Examiners and also taught tax law and business law in the evenings. He was an avid golfer, baseball player (in his youth), and sports fan (Go Cubs go! Let’s go ‘Cats!). Nothing brought “Papa Stuart” more joy, though, than spending time with his family and grandchildren, hearing about their many activities, playing games with them, and telling his magical stories.

Stuart is survived by his loving wife Elaine (née Distenfield), his sons Gregory (Jaclyn Millner) Duhl and Joshua (Linda) Duhl, his grandkids Gabe and Elly Millner and Leo, William, and Caleb Duhl, brother Michael (Judith) Duhl and sister Anita (Howard) Glicken, sister-in-law Davida (Richard) Nelson and brother-in-law Ira (Linda) Distenfield. He was preceded in death by his parents Samuel and Gertrude Duhl.

Memorial contributions can be made in Stuart’s name to The Cancer Wellness Center, 215 Revere Drive, Northbrook IL 60602, www.cancerwellness.org or Jewish United Fund, 30 S. Wells, Chicago, IL 60606,www.juf.org. Private graveside service. Please attend via livestream, Friday,12 PM.
