Obituary

Stanley “Stan” Meyers, age 93, of Northbrook, born and raised in Brooklyn, NY and served honorably in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He died peacefully at his residence on Monday, April 1st; beloved husband of Judith Ginzburg-Meyers and the late Harriet Meyers for 47 years; loving father of Diana (Rick) Friedman and Julie (James Burgdorfer) Newman; father-in-law of Brent Newman; adored grandpa of Samantha (Eric), Josh, and Daniel; proud great grandfather of Maya; devoted son of the late Sam Meyers and the late Ida Meyers Becker; cherished brother of the late Ruth (late Roy) Goffman; treasured uncle and friend to many. Stan will also be remembered by Judy’s children and grandchildren. Stan was the Senior Vice-President at Sound Video Unlimited. He was an icon in the video, music, and entertainment industry. In 1998, Stan was honored by the Video Hall of Fame. Stan relished watching sports of all kinds, especially his beloved Cubs. He loved to golf and played weekly all his life. Stan was an avid reader, enjoyed traveling the world, and sharing stories about his family, childhood, and career. Above all, he loved spending time with his family. Service Friday, 12 Noon CT at The Chapel, 195 N. Buffalo Grove Rd., Buffalo Grove (1 Blk N. of Lake Cook Rd.). Stan’s service will be livestreamed on his webpage at www.goldmanfuneralgroup.com.
