Sonya Olex, nee Kopald, age 93, beloved wife for 50 years of the late Irving Olex; loving mother of Wendy (Ben) Roth and Linda (late Glenn) Burdeen; proud grandma of Elyn (Victor) Campos, Aaron (partner Courtney Kruger) Burdeen, Morgan (Brian) Goldberg, Brittany (Eric) Eisenberg, Joseph (Amanda) Roth; dear great-grandma of José (fiancée Natalie Melendez), Emmanuel, Lucas, Gerald, Janie, Zane, Riley, Annabelle, and Penelope; adored great-great-grandma of Emilia; treasured friend to many. Graveside service Friday, 10am, at Memorial Park Cemetery, 9900 Gross Point Road, Skokie, IL. The service will be livestreamed on Sonya’s webpage at www.goldmanfuneralgroup.com.
