Obituary

Sidney Robin, 88, December 21, 2023; beloved husband and best friend of Sandra Joy (nee' Heller); loving father of Bradley (Nicole Cook) and Dana (Shawn) Woodward, much loved stepfather of Sydney Finkel and Peter (Rebecca Pearlmutter) Finkel; cherished Grandpa "Papa Sid" of Bridget Robin, Addisen and Logan Frenier and Henry and Alex Finkel; dear son of the late Jack and Beatrice; and wonderful brother of Lionel. Sidney was honorably discharged from the US Army in 1962. He was an alumnus of Northwestern Law and practiced for over fifty years. He was also the author of three murder mysteries. Sid loved a rare steak, an RJ Hudson martini and always enjoyed some Sinatra or Pavarotti. He loved to host a party, was a loyal Cubs fan and a born and bred Chicagoan. Sid also enjoyed traveling with Sandra and went to Puerto Vallarta and South Haven annually, but most of all Sid enjoyed spending time with his family. Memorial donations in his honor can be made to: Northwestern School of Law; Law School Fund; www.law.alumni.northwestern.edu. Interment Shalom Memorial Park. Chapel service, Tuesday, December 26, 2023; 2:30 PM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights.
