Obituary

Shirley Cohen, nee Merkin, 96, beloved wife of the late Sol Cohen, happily married for 67 years; loving mother of Marlene (Dennis) Bargamian, Jan Dony (Jeff Bernson) and the (late Jim Dony), Larry (Joan) Cohen and Sandi (Danny) McCoy; cherished grandmother of Ashley and Ryan Bargamian, Justin (Jordyn) Dony, Jillian (Erik) LeClaire-Heinrich and the (late Steven LeClaire), Dylan and Matthew McCoy and her four-legged, furry grandbaby Buddy; adored great-grandmother of Hartley Sage, Austin James, Paige Marie, Brett Marlowe and Sophia Rose; Shirley was preceded in death by her brothers Doc, Nate and Maishe Merkin; treasured aunt to several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago, in Shirley's honor for her great-grandson Austin James LeClaire, https://my.luriechildrens.org/page/43035/donate/1 .
