Obituary

Sherry Steres, 75, née Markowitz, adored daughter of the late Irving and the late Jane Markowitz; loving mother of Scott (Valerie) and Jeffrey (Kimberly) Steres; cherished Grammy of Gabrielle, Alexis, Tyler and Caden Steres; dear sister of Idie (the late Herb) Parmet and Randy (Hadrian) Markowitz; beloved aunt of Lori (Mitch) Gold, Staci (Mark) Zimmerman, David (Mindy) Parmet, Melissa (Barry) Glass, Matthew (Carly) Markowitz and Allison (Shaun) Albert; loving companion of Robert Harris. Sherry was a treasured great-aunt, cousin, and friend to countless special people including her lifelong friendships with Cheryl and Garry Buzil and Nancy and Fred Rudich. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Autism Speaks, www.autismspeaks.org/upper-midwest. Chapel service Monday, June 30, 2025, 2:30 PM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Interment following at Shalom Memorial Park.
