Sherri Sabitt, née Becker, beloved wife of the late Arthur Sabitt, happily married for 47 wonderful years; loving mother of Marsha (Fred) Rauscher, Mark (Karen Stenard) Sabitt and Jonathan Sabitt (April Pecora ); cherished grandmother of Rebecca (Charles) Barilleux, Amy (Patrick) McAlvanah, Andrew (Katie Rudolph) Rauscher, Jeremy Sabitt, Benjamin Sabitt, Zachary (Elene Drosos) Sabitt, Jake Sabitt and Sam Sabitt; dear sister of Shirley (the late Jerrald) Miller and the late Rosa (the late Harold) Colb; loving companion of the late Marvin Gettleman for 25 years; Sherri was a treasured aunt, and friend to many. In lieu of flowers, donations in Sherri's honor may be made to ORT America, www.ortamerica.org/regions/chicago-region. Graveside service Friday, May 1, 2026, 12:00 PM at Shalom Memorial Park, 1700 W.
