Obituary

Sheldon M. Weinstein, 81, AKA Shelly, beloved husband of Anita Weinstein nee Brown for 58 years, devoted father of Jeffrey (Yelena) Weinstein and Leslie Silverman (Scott Weintroub), adoring brother of Barbara Selvaggio, dear brother-in-law of Victor (Diane) Brown, proud grandfather of Sarah (Aric), Hannah (Josh), Jonathan, David, Jenna, Ryan, adoring step-grandfather of Anthony, Daniel, Brooke, Nicole, caring uncle to many, and huge supporter of numerous other family members and friends. He had the most amazing combination of strength, intelligence, sense of humor, and love. He lit up every room he entered with his lively personality and infectious laugh. He greatly enjoyed his successful career selling insurance. He always had the best advice and enjoyed giving pep talks to everyone who needed them. He had a passion for investing and took great pride helping his loved ones with the stock market. He enjoyed many sports and was a lifelong Chicago White Sox and Arizona Cardinals fan. He and Anita were avid travelers, having taken over 40 cruises and many other wonderful vacations together. He had a zest for life and lived every day to the fullest. He will be deeply missed by many, and his incredible love will be felt in our hearts forever. Chapel service, Wednesday 2:30 PM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights.
