Dr. Shayle Jay Gerstein, age 85

Beloved husband of the late Marilyn E. Gerstein nee Ersler. Loving father of Dena (Howard) Levy, Michael Gerstein and Joel Gerstein. Proud Saba of Gavi, Samantha, Joey and Michal Levy, Samuel and Max Gerstein. Adored son of the late Morton and the late Diana Gerstein. Dear brother of Honey (the late Sherwin) Shapiro, the late Norman Gerstein and the late Sherwin Gerstein. Cherished uncle of many nieces and nephews and a wonderful cousin. Retired after 38 dedicated years as an elementary school principal and administrator with the Chicago Public School System. Service Friday 12 Noon at Chicago Jewish Funerals, 8851 Skokie Blvd. (at Niles Center Road) Skokie. Interment Shalom.
