Saul S. Silverstein, husband of the late Leah Silverstein, nee Edelstein; father of Stuart Silverstein, Rachel (Alan) Russo and Miriam (Michael) Rudolph; brother of Enoch (Marge) Silverstein and the late Irene (the late Gerald) Lieberman; grandfather of Aliza (Dr. Benjamin) Scheier, Rebecca (Rabbi David) Russo, Matthew (Sivan) Rudolph, Abigail Russo (Adam Wheeler), Adam Rudolph, Jacob Rudolph and the late Jordana Rudolph; great grandfather of Natan, Leor and Lev Russo, Ezra, Leon, Jonah and Sarina Scheier, Geffen and Naveh Rudolph; brother-in-law of Estelle (the late Allen) Elekman; son of the late Bessie and the late Meyer Silverstein; uncle to many. Dana and Gary Wexler, Jacqueline and Glenn Lieberman, Nina Lieberman and Ralph Zarefsky, Garry Elekman, Leslie and Tom Silverstein, Karyn and Bill Silverstein, Vicki and Daniel Elekman and Ted Silverstein. The family would like to express their gratitude to his devoted caregiver, Mercedes Rodas, for her loving support and care.
Synagogue service Wednesday 11:30 AM at North Suburban Synagogue Beth El, 1175 Sheridan Road, Highland Park. Interment Westlawn Cemetery, 7801 W. Montrose Avenue, Norridge. At the request of the family, those in attendance at the service and shiva should be vaccinated and wear a mask. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Camp Ramah in Wisconsin (www.ramahwisconsin.com) and Hadassah Chicago-North Shore (www.hadassah.org/region/chicago-north-shore).
