Sandy M. Gerber, nee Gilbert, age 81, of Highland Park, beloved wife and best friend for 58 years of Marshall J. Gerber; loving mother of Jay (Ellen) Gerber, Laura Gerber, and Bobby (Inna Feldman-Gerber) Gerber; adored Grammy of Max (Bri), Nikki, Jamie, Melissa (Matt), Dana (Mark), Sarah and Ari; proud great grandmother of Madison and Logan; “adopted grandmother” of Taylor, Adam, Zoe, and Cody; devoted daughter of the late K. Lewis and the late F. Sarah Gilbert; cherished sister of Jeff (Susan) Gilbert and John (Erica) Gilbert; dear sister-in-law of the late Charles (Susan) Gerber; treasured aunt of Dana (Kip), Lauren, and Devra; special friend to many and best friend to Theresa “T”. Sandy was a beautiful, magical, kind, emphatic woman. She had a love for her family, sweets, and friends. She had a wonderful sense of humor. She dedicated her life to making others happy. Graveside service Sunday, 1:30 p.m. CT at Memorial Park Cemetery, Menorah Section, 9900 Gross Point Rd., Skokie. The service will be livestreamed on Sandy’s webpage at goldmanfuneralgroup.com.
