Obituary

Sandra "Sandy" Nidetz, nee Rice, 90, passed away April 11, 2024. She was the daughter of the late Morris and Sylvia; mother of Jeffrey (Cindy) Nidetz and Bruce (Theresa) Nidetz; grandmother of Ian (Kelly) Nidetz, Natalie (Andy) Nidetz, Michael (Sarah) Nidetz, and Isabelle (partner John) Nidetz; great-grandmother of Henry and Ada; sister of the late Deanna "Deke" Rice Abramowitz; aunt of Beth (Alan) Nudelman and Sheldon (partner Sharon) Nidetz; great-aunt of Jason Nudelman and Stephanie (John) Stavropoulos. Sandy was a Life Master Bridge Player, an avid Mah Jongg player and world traveler. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Congregation Beth Am Food Pantry, www.bethambg.org, or the American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org. Funeral service Tuesday, April 16, 10 AM, at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Interment to follow at Shalom Memorial Park.
