Obituary

Sally Ellen Jacobs, 92. Devoted mother of Clifford (Jill) Kapson, Larry Kapson, and the late Ronald (the late Joan) Kapson; cherished grandmother of Dara Kapson, Alana Cardenas (Sameer Ahmed), Lara (Patrick) Reimer, Josh Kapson (Catherine Bohn), Cassidy Kapson (Isaac Smith), and Jack Kapson (Shobana Rao); proud great-grandmother of Leah, Owen, Alexandria, Ronan, Caleb, and Brodie; caring sister of the late Lois (the late Richard) Abrams and Alan (Avrie) Jacobs; loving aunt of Susan (Bill) Luerssen, Harry (Helene) Abrams, Jeffrey (Claudia) Jacobs, and Mitchell (Laura) Jacobs; will be deeply missed by close cousins and friends. Sally adored living in the heart of the Gold Coast. Her view of Oak Street Beach from her 42nd floor window brought her great joy. The family would like to thank the staff of Warren Barr Lieberman and Unity Hospice for their dedicated and compassionate care over the last year. Sally will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Jewish United Fund, www.juf.org/donate, where Sally proudly worked for over 20 years. JUF's mission was deeply important to Sally. Graveside service Tuesday, March 18, 2 PM at Shalom Memorial Park, 1700 W. Rand Rd (enter off of Wilke), Arlington Heights.
