Obituary

Ruth S. Friedman née Zerden, age 98, September 4, 2023. Beloved wife for 63 wonderful years and best friend of Nathaniel Friedman of blessed memory and Mortimer Slaiman of blessed memory, who passed away at a very young age. Cherished mother of Sabra of blessed memory (Bob), Jeffrey of blessed memory, Beth, and Robin (Jose). Loving grandmother of Ursula (Will), Anya (Seth), Ari, and Sarah. Devoted daughter of Sarah and Benjamin of blessed memories. Dear sister of Eddie of blessed memory. Treasured great grandmother, aunt and friend to many. Chemist, chef, gardener, artist, clothing designer, carpenter, pianist, avid reader - a woman of many talents. Her warm and giving nature will be remembered always by those who knew and loved her. We will miss her so much. We hope she is at peace and gardening up a storm and baking blueberry pies and challot wherever she is.
