Obituary

Ruthe Harriet Weis (née Simons), born November 17, 1936, in Chicago, Illinois, passed away peacefully on July 15, 2025, in Scottsdale, Arizona, surrounded by her loving family.

Ruthe was the cherished daughter of Samuel and Rose Simons; the beloved sister of Richard Simons (Jill); and the devoted wife of the late Richard Herbert Weis, together they shared almost 62 years of marriage filled with love, partnership, and family.

She was the treasured mother of Stewart Weis (Meg) and Karen Peiser (Jack), and she held the memory of her late son, Kenneth Weis, close to her heart. Ruthe was also the proud and loving grandmother of Jason (Dina) and Shelby Peiser. Her family was her greatest joy, and she will be remembered for her kindness, wisdom, and the warmth she shared with everyone who knew her.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Ruthe's memory to City of Hope, www.cityofhope.org.
