Obituary

Ross H. Waxman, Age 66, passed away suddenly on November 15, 2024. Beloved husband and best friend of Michelle (nee' Cipkin) for just under 40 wonderful years; loving father of Mallory and Jacob; much loved brother of Kalee (Sam) Gould and the late Steven (Andrea); dear uncle of many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his adored parents the late Charles and Eunice. Ross grew up on St Louis Street in the Albany Park neighborhood of Chicago, graduated from Von Steuben High School and an alumni of DePaul University class of 1981. Following graduation, Ross worked for 10 years in the woman's shoe business at Smith Brothers, married and started a family and in the late 80's began his career in commercial real estate. Ross was a devoted son, husband and father. He loved classic rock, cooking, coaching his kid's sports teams and golf, but his biggest passion was spending time with his adored family. Donations in his memory may be made to the Von Steuben Scholarship Fund 5039 North Kimball Avenue, Chicago, IL 60625. A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 18, 2024; 5 PM at the Heller Nature Center 2821 Ridge Avenue, Highland Park, IL. To leave condolences: www.shalommemorial.org or (847) 255-3520.
