Obituary

Roslyn “Roz” Dobkin, nee Davis, age 96, long-time resident of Highland Park, beloved wife and best friend for 60 years of the late Abraham “Dobby” Dobkin; loving mother of Shelley (Dr. Michael) Witkin and Janice (David) Lasky; cherished mother-in-law of the late Randall Horwitz; adored grandmother of Karen Witkin, Debra (Joseph Nunn) Witkin, Leah (Jori) Brajer, Adena Horwitz, Dr. Shauna (Brian) Schroeder, and Pamela (David) Tomlinson; proud great grandmother of Zachary, Avery, Nathan, Sage, Liv, Sutton, and Harper; devoted daughter of the late Isadore and the late Anna Davis; dear sister of the late Helen (late Sam) Haas and the late Esther (late Joe) Zuckerman. Roz was lovingly cared for by Priscilla “Precy” Aploan. Roz will be remembered for her passion for the arts, love of reading, chic sense of fashion, and being an extraordinary educator at Walter R. Sundling Junior High (Palatine School District 15). The most important thing in her life was the love and devotion she had to her family and friends. She will live in our hearts forever. Service Tuesday, 12 Noon CT at The Chapel, 195 N. Buffalo Grove Rd., Buffalo Grove (1 Blk N. of Lake Cook Rd.). The service will be livestreamed on Roz’s webpage at www.goldmanfuneralgroup.com. Interment Shalom Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions would be appreciated to North Suburban Synagogue Beth El, www.nssbethel.org, American Friends of Magen David Adom, www.mdais.org, or Accord Hospice, www.accordhospice.com.
