Obituary
Rose Lisberg, nee Maikon, age 94, beloved wife of James Lisberg for 62 years; loving mother of Michael (Alison) Lisberg; proud grandmother of Sammie Lisberg and Noah Lisberg; devoted sister of the late Sol Maikon and the late El Dave Maikon; dear sister-in-law of Sandy Maikon. Rose was born in Cedar Rapids IA to Max and Bess Lisberg. She graduated from the University of Iowa with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry. Rose moved to Chicago and began her career with the telephone company. Rose and Jim married in 1961 and welcomed their son Michael in 1965. She was a homemaker until 1972 when she went to work for Mundelein College and then Loyola University. Rose had a long and distinguished career with Loyola until she retired in 2003 as the Business Manager for the School of Nursing. Rose was a deeply devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. The family was everything to her. She will be profoundly missed by those who knew and loved her. Service Wednesday, 11:00 a.m. at The Chapel, 8851 Skokie Blvd, Skokie (at Niles Center Rd.).
