Obituary

Ronald N. Mora, age 91, of Chicago, beloved father of Peter Mora, Katherine (Steven Kazmierski) Mora, and Abraham Mora; proud grandfather of Lucas, Alexander, Jocelyn, and Arianna; dear son of the late Betty and late William Mora; treasured cousin to lots of Marks and Markovitz cousins. Love, 40 final set and match point. Ron‘s tennis career ended peacefully at home with family by his side. Ron’s love of tennis was rivaled by his love of family. Ron’s kids and grandkids were a source of pride and joy. Family celebrations across the generations and time spent together are the fondest memories.  Ron was well known for his love of the law and non-stop work ethic. When some might consider retiring at 90, Ron forged ahead with his own solo law practice, always taking personal care of his clients. Ron cherished lifelong friends as much as family, who he shared so many important life moments with, from laughter to tears, ups and downs, and all the big and small incidental moments that make a friendship special. Ron profoundly valued education and was an avid reader, and never stopped being inspired to keep learning and growing. He passed this love of learning onto his children and grandchildren. Ron‘s good sense of humor, positive attitude and optimistic outlook will live on with his family and friends. Finally, chocolate! Dad- wherever you are, we’re sure there are chocolate fountains, bottomless jars of M&Ms, and an endless supply of Marshall Field’s chocolate drop cookies! Graveside service Friday, 1:30 p.m. CT, at Silverman & Weiss Cemetery (within Waldheim Cemetery), Gate 60, 1380 Des Plaines Ave, Forest Park, IL 60130.
