Obituary

Robin Fingerhut (née Kosovski), 75, passed away peacefully on February 8, 2025. Eldest daughter of the late Clarice and Eugene Kosovski; beloved wife and best friend of Fred for 51 wonderful years; loving mother of Mark (Kristie) Fingerhut; cherished grandma of Arlo, Madelyn and Jordan; much loved sister of Sheryl Kosovski and the late Maura (the late Ronald) Shaffer; dear sister in-law of Anita (David) Dordek; beloved aunt of David (Emily) Shaffer, Asher Dordek, Lena (Gabriel) Prero and Samuel (Tara) Dordek; fond great aunt of Delia, Bennett, Sophiya, Menucha, Ezra, Yeshayahu, Leora, Yisroel, Manny, Hadassah, Jack, Charlie, and Theodore. Robin was a dedicated mother, she loved to cook her famous chicken soup and her gefilte fish, enjoyed hosting Seder, loved the color purple, loved her family trips to Wisconsin, Minnesota, Wisconsin Dells, House on the Rock and Black River Falls but her greatest joy was her family. Throughout her many medical trials over the recent years, Robin was always a resilient fighter and she will be dearly missed. Memorial donations may be made to Congregation Beth Judea, www.bethjudea.org or Jewish United Fund, www.juf.org/donate. Chapel service, Tuesday, February 11, 2025; 12:15 PM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Interment Shalom Memorial Park.
