Obituary

Robert Hoffman, 91 years of age, passed away Sunday, Apri1, 4, 2021, in Riverdale, New York.
He was born in the Bronx, New York on October 25, 1929, to Dora and Joseph Hoffman. He graduated from City College of New York with a Bachelor’s Degree in 1951, and he received a Masters Degree at New York University in 1953.
He served in the United States Army, where he saw active duty in Korea during the Korean War.
He worked as a certified public accountant and a partner at the accounting firm of Arthur Yorkes and Company.
He married Doris Zacker on Aug. 16, 1958, in Manhattan, and moved to Riverdale, where he has lived for the last 63 years.
He is survived by his loving sons and their wives: Alan and Marla Hoffman, and Richard and Karen Hoffman; and his six adoring grandchildren: Danielle, Nicole, Jodie, Craig, Kallie and Aimee.
He was a loving husband, father and grandfather, and was a friend of all in the community. He also served as treasurer of the South Riverdale Baseball League for many years. He will be missed dearly by all of his family and friends.
Funeral services were held on April 7, 2021 at Cedar Park Cemetery in Paramus, New Jersey. Please send donations to the Alzheimer’s Association.
