Obituary

Rita "Nana" Lambert (nee' Phillips), 79, passed away on February 5, 2023; beloved wife and best friend of Jerry for 57 wonderful years; loving mother of Sheri (Jonathan) Lippman, Ilene ( Marc) Fern, and Kimberly (Ken) Israel and honorary daughter Laurie (the late Ben) Mennella; cherished "Nana" of Bradie (Jesse) Bloomberg, Hallie Lippman, Josh Fern, Mara Lippman, Noah and Emma Israel; much loved sister of Margo (the late Irv) Cohen and sister in-law of the late Beverly Loob; adored daughter of the late George and Betty Phillips; treasured aunt of Debbie (Brenda), Steven (Rochelle), Susan (Joel), Sari, Lisa (Stuart) and Andy (Debbi); dear great aunt, cousin and friend of many. Rita was the party planner - she loved to take care of people, run errands, was always present at family Dr appointments, enjoyed gossip magazines, getting her hair and nails done, and traveled the world with her adored Jerry; but her favorite past time was spending time with her family. She will be dearly missed. Memorial donations in her honor may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, www.alz.org. Interment Shalom Memorial Park. Chapel service, Thursday, February 8, 2024; 12:15 PM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights.
