Obituary

Richard A. Klein, beloved husband of Tamera “Tammy;” adored father of Deanna Little (partner, Mark Vondracek), Heather (James) Scavo and Robyn Klein; cherished grandfather of Lucy and Sydra Little and Cooper and Niomi Scavo; dear brother of Joan (the late Larry) Altshuler of Texas; fond brother-in-law of Marty (Kathy) Weinstein and the late Larry Weinstein; loving uncle and friend to many. Richie liked to read, but most of all he loved his family. He was a simple man. He did everything he could for anyone and expected nothing in return. He worked hard, so that all of us girls could have everything we needed or wanted in life. Family was the most important thing to our dad. He was a perfect “girl dad,” a good listener, gentle but firm, had a wonderful sense of humor, and knew how to treat each of us differently, just as we were. He was honest, consistent, and the kindest soul. Funeral service Wednesday, Dec. 27, 11 a.m. CT at The Chapel, 195 N. Buffalo Grove Road, Buffalo Grove. (1 Blk N. of Lake Cook Rd.). The service will be livestreamed on Richard’s webpage at www.goldmanfuneralgroup.com. Interment Willow Lawn Cemetery, Vernon Hills. In lieu of flowers, contribution may be made to the American Heart Association, www.heart.org. For information: The Goldman Funeral Group (847) 478-1600.
