Obituary

Richard Michael “Rick” Issen, age 69, of Wheeling, beloved husband for 42 years of Debra “Debbie” Issen, nee Omens; loving father of Stacy (Josh) Sinason and Michelle Issen; adored Papa of Hailey; devoted son of the late Phillip and the late Harriet Issen; dear son-in-law of the late Ira and the late Millie Omens; cherished brother of Sima (Craig Smentek) Issen and Marshall (Kathleen) Issen; fond brother-in-law of Mark (Ilana) Omens; treasured uncle and friend to many. Rick was a nursing home inspector for 30 years and an avid pro-wrestling fan. You couldn’t walk in a room without being pulled into a conversation about the happenings of wrestling, a crazy story from his inspecting days or just an off-color dad joke.  In his retirement, he found passion serving on the Tahoe Board and writing the newsletter. Service Thursday, 12 Noon CT, at The Chapel, 195 N Buffalo Grove Rd, Buffalo Grove (1 blk North of Lake Cook Rd). Interment Westlawn Cemetery, Norridge. The service will be livestreamed on Rick’s page at www.goldmanfuneralgroup.com. If you would like to participate in the shiva, please contact Shiva Coordinator Elisa Staniszewski at (916) 300-5912. Info: The Goldman Funeral Group (847) 478-1600.
