Obituary

Raymond M. Handler, MD, was married for 61 years to his beloved wife, Arlene (Fridkin); wonderful father to Jonathan (Denise) and David (Ami) Handler and Debbie (Gary) Solomon; loving grandfather to Joshua (fiancé Benjamin Israel), Ethan, Hanna, Phoebe (fiance Michael Brook) and Jolie Handler and Ilana and Talia Solomon; devoted son of the late William and the late Pearl Handler; dear brother of Jerry Handler. Ray practiced Dermatology for 50 years, most of them were with Dr. Roland Medansky of blessed memory. Ray served as a Captain in the US Air Force for 2 years, was a member and President of School District 27 Board of Education. He also was Past President of the Chicago and Illinois Dermatological Societies, member of the Midwestern Dermatological Society and Past President of the Noah Worcester Dermatological Society. Service Tuesday, 11:00 a.m. CT at Congregation Beth Shalom, 3433 Walters Ave., Northbrook. The service will be livestreamed on Ray’s webpage at www.goldmanfuneralgroup.com. Interment Shalom Memorial Park. Donations can be made to Congregation Beth Shalom of Northbrook or a charity of your choice. Info: The Goldman Funeral Group (847) 478-1600.
