Obituary

Rachel Frances Prale, 31, adored daughter of Philip and Maureen Prale, née McCarthy; cherished sister of Naomi, Isabel, and Paul Prale; treasured granddaughter of the late Alan and Helen McCarthy and the late Ruth and Sol Prale; much loved by her many aunts, uncles, and cousins passed away on April 1, 2025 in Santiago, Chile. She possessed an indomitable and magnetic spirit, practiced art and music, prized travel and culinary festivities. She read widely and deeply, living with a passion for interesting people, good wine, and kind hearts. Rachel was devoted to family and friends and touched many fellow travelers across the globe. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Portland Lesbian Choir at www.plchoir.org or to a mutual aid society of your choice. Chapel service Tuesday, April 15, 2025, 2:30 PM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Interment following at Shalom Memorial Park.
