Obituary

Phyllis Silverman, age 85, beloved wife of the late Howard Silverman; loving mother of Heidi (Andrew) Howard, Joel Silverman, Gary (Dipti) Silverman, and Alison (Aaron) Guzikowski; adored grandmother of Owen, Sam, Foster, Manni, Quint, Amiya, and Valis; devoted daughter of the late Mort and the late Adelle Horwitz; cherished sister of Sandy Horwitz. The most important thing in Phyllis’ life was her grandchildren. She was very involved in the Jewish community, especially being a past chapter president and long-time member of Women’s American ORT. Phyllis loved hosting and cooking for all holidays, and her kugel was legendary. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Graveside service Monday, 1:30 p.m. at Westlawn Cemetery, section Poppy, 7801 W. Montrose Ave., Norridge.
