Obituary

Pamela Gene Lichtenstein, nee Slavin, age 71, of Skokie, Illinois, passed away peacefully March 27, 2018 in Sarasota, Florida. Pam or "Pammy" was born February 27, 1947 and raised in Benton Harbor, Michigan. She was a proud Benton Harbor High graduate (Class of '65), earned a B.S. from Western Michigan University and maintained warm friendships with temple and school friends over the years. Always eager to help a friend in need, she was an exquisite baker and chef with a fine eye for detail and found treasures everywhere. She had a charmed way of creating feasts and parties for friends and family. Pam loved knitting, antiquing and traveling and passed along her joie de vivre to her three daughters and three grandchildren. Her gift of gab and sense of humor will stay with us forever. She lives on through her husband Richard M. Lichtenstein, daughters Nina Joy Lichtenstein (David Washington), Amanda Leigh Lichtenstein and Hillary Aryn Lichtenstein, grandbabies Manuel Nacham, Gabriel Jubilee and Scheherazade Eva Washington, siblings Jerrold Slavin, Carla (Carl) Klein and Audrey Slavin. Predeceased by her parents Norman Slavin and Marion Cozak Slavin and stepmother Carol Parker Slavin. Guardian of three pet dogs: Bessie Dora, Angelina and Xanthe Reese. Services: Monday, April 2, 2018, 12 Noon, at Chicago Jewish Funerals, 8851 Skokie Blvd. (at Niles Center Road), Skokie, Illinois. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery in Skokie, Illinois.
