Obituary

Norman Mozin, age 86, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2025. Beloved husband of Sheila (née Posner) for 63 wonderful years. Loving father of Dr. Shelly (Ron) Betman and Laura (Ira) Singer. Cherished "Papa" of Samantha, Carli, and Julia Betman, and Dylan, Eli, and Miranda Singer. Much-loved brother of Sandra (Jack) Herman, Brenda (Louis) Mizel, and Linda (Don) Merritt. Dear uncle, great-uncle, and a respected friend to many.
Norman was a quiet, loving man-exceptionally bright, hardworking, and a strong leader of his family. He was an active member of GEL (Gentlemen Enjoying Leisure), was an active volunteer in the community and devoted much of his time to family, meticulously planning memorable family vacations. Deeply proud of his Jewish heritage, Norman's greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren. He will be dearly missed. Memorial donations to Jewish United Fund, www.juf.org. Chapel service will be held on Sunday, July 13, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Interment to follow at Shalom Memorial Park.
