Obituary

Norman Comrov, 79, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2026. Beloved husband of Cheryl (née Horberg) for 53 wonderful years; loving father of Danielle (Stephen) Wylie and Elizabeth; adored "Zadie" of Brianna, Logan, and Madison Wylie; much-loved brother of Naomi (the late Leonard) Greenberg, Herbert (Nancy), and David (the late Susan); treasured uncle, great-uncle, and friend to many; and faithful companion to his cherished dog, Shaggy. Norman was a devoted family man, a hardworking and proud business owner, and a true dog lover. He met his beloved wife Cheryl through a mutual friend, and together they built a beautiful life and family. He founded and operated a clothing store for 30 years, taking great pride in his work and dedication. He loved fishing and cherished family trips, especially those spent with his beloved grandchildren. His Sunday night family dinners were a treasured tradition. Norman will be dearly missed by all whose lives he touched. Memorial donations in his honor may be made to Orphans of the Storm, www.orphansofthestorm.org. Chapel service, Thursday April 9, 2026; 10 AM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Interment Shalom Memorial Park.
