Obituary

Norine Yedlin, nee Schwartz, 77. Beloved wife for 55 years to David; devoted mother of Susan (Evan) Zeitz and Jeff (Alma) Yedlin; adoring Grandma of Sammi Zeitz, David Yedlin and Gabriel Yedlin; treasured sister of Barbara (Bob) Kleiman. Norine was a longtime and very active resident of Buffalo Grove, moving to Mundelein in 2013. She was a valued volunteer for Hadassah and worked as an Office Manager throughout her long and successful career. Norine loved playing mah jong with friends (some for decades), and since moving to Mundelein, had returned to playing canasta. Her favorite thing was to travel, which she and David did often, flying to explore the world or taking cruises to avoid cold Chicago winters. What she loved most? Being a grandma - her family was everything. She will be deeply missed by all that knew her. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org. Chapel service Monday, January 20, 12:15 PM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Rd., Arlington Heights. Interment to follow at Shalom Memorial Park. Shiva will be held at the Yedlin home in Mundelein following interment, and also Tuesday and Wednesday evening.
