Obituary

Norene Goldstein, born February 8, 1935. On Monday, June 24, Norene Goldstein passed away. She was eighty-nine. Born to the late Rose and the late Samuel Miller, Norene grew up in Chicago adored by her parents and brothers, Howard and Philip (Cynthia). After attending the University of Illinois for a year, she met her husband, the late Bernard, the love of her life. They were married for 61 years.

Norene raised three sons, Mark (Michael), David, Scott and former daughter in-law Robin; Her grandchildren, Danielle (Brad), Hannah, and Levi gave her unbound joy. She was a warm-hearted mother and grandmother, a devoted homemaker, and an especially wonderful cook. She delighted in mahjong, art, entertaining, fashion and travel. Her beaming smile won the day. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, www.alz.org

Chapel service Wednesday, June 26, 2024, 10:00 AM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Interment following at Shalom Memorial Park. For information, including a link to view the service, and to leave condolences visit www.shalommemorial.org or (847) 255-3520.
