Obituary

Nancy Channick, nee Wolfe, 92, beloved wife of the late Herbert; loving mother of Joan Channick (the late Ruth Hein Schmitt) and Robert Channick (Stacy Streur); cherished grandmother of Melissa (Kyle) Goldman and the late Sarah Channick; adored great grandmother of Evan Goldman; dear sister of the late Robert (the late Luisa) Wolfe; treasured aunt, cousin and friend of many.

A dancer, teacher, social worker, competitive tennis player and avid bridge player, she brought love, laughter and joy to a wide circle of friends, family and a surprising number of people who momentarily crossed her path. She journeyed through life with uncommon grace and beauty, leaving all that knew her richer for the experience.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sarah Channick Memorial Scholarship, c/o Deerfield High School, 1959 N. Waukegan Road, Deerfield, IL 60015. Chapel service Friday 12:15 PM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights.
