Obituary

Merle S. Kramer, our beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother Merle Kramer passed away July 10, 2024, at age 87. Merle was the heart of our family. She devoted her life to her four children, Sam (Leslie) Kramer, Linda (Michael) Ragins, Karen (Donald) Scheck and Dan (Tammie) Kramer, in a happy and loving home to be confident and independent caring adults. Merle was married for 69 years to her soulmate the late Michael Kramer. As a grandmother, she loved spoiling her fourteen grandchildren on shopping sprees and family vacations. Alexa (Marc) Joiner, Sydney Kramer, Dylan (Kendra) Kramer, Jake Ragins, Lauren (Ryan) Kantor, Allison (Lee) Boshes, Zach Scheck, Nate Scheck, Shelby Scheck, Sami Scheck, Nick Kramer, Rylan Kramer, Lexi Kramer and Haley Kramer. But in the end, she loved nothing more than spending time watching her five great grandchildren play. Hudson, Elle and Sloane Joiner and Kendall and Casey Kantor. She was the beloved sister of Paul (Joan) Skurie. She was the cherished daughter of the late Sam Skurie and late Beatrice Joftus (late Bill Kassin). Merle was a treasured friend to many. She always had a kind word and made everyone she met feel special. Most of all, Merle loved and cherished her family, and she looked forward to every moment spent together. Especially when the family would travel far and wide to be together. She always said, "family is my medicine." Merle was beautiful inside and out.
