Maureen “Reene” Perper, nee Newman, age 68, of Fort Myers, FL, formerly of Skokie; beloved wife for 43 years of Dennis Perper; loving mother of Alissa, Nicole, and Jacob Perper; devoted daughter of the late Norman and the late Myra Newman; special daughter-in-law of the late Wallace and the late Rosalind Perper; cherished family member of Wendy (Robert) Waskin, Holley (Donald) Hoffman, Jay (Stephanie Spiegel) Newman, Ione (Steve) Novak, Ted (Cathy) Richards, and the late Wendy Richards; dear sister-in-law of Michael (Gayle) Perper; treasured aunt of Jeffrey Waskin, Melanie and Alexandra Hoffman, Daniel (Danielle) Perper, Lindsay (Hank Myerberg) Davanzo, Jamie Richards, Nate (Samantha) Richards, Jeremy and Alex Novak and great aunt of Emma, Amanda, Benjamin, Ella, Joey, Jordan, and Julia. Reene was an amazing wife and mother and was loved by all. She was always so generous and was such a kind-hearted person, whose smile would light up any room. Reene would end all telephone conversations with “I love you.” She loved to shell, beachcombing for the perfect shells, which she made into beautiful gifts for family and friends. Graveside service Tuesday, February 15th, 12 Noon CT at Shalom Memorial Park. The service will be livestreamed at www.goldmanfuneralgroup.com. There will be a celebration of Reene’s life on Sunday, February 20th, 12 Noon to 3:00 p.m. at Bell Tower Park, 14100 Avon Park Circle, Fort Myers (enter off US 41).
