Obituary

Marla Modes, 69, adored daughter of Jean Modes and the late Nathan Modes; dear sister of the late Gary Modes and the late Linda Modes Sokol; much loved sister-in-law of Carol Modes Gruen; cherished aunt of Eric and Matthew (Kimberly Foley) Modes; wonderful great-aunt to Bennett and Cameron Modes; and treasured friend of many. We will miss her kindheartedness, sense of humor, and special personality. Special thanks to Dr. Moore, Nurse Ann, and the whole caring staff at Kellogg Cancer Center. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Maot Chitim at https://maotchitim.org/ or the American Cancer Society at https://donate.cancer.org/. Chapel service Monday, April 21, 2025, 2:30 PM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Interment following at Shalom Memorial Park.
