Obituary

Mark H. Mandel, age 63, of Schaumburg passed away on March 30th of Glioblastoma. Beloved husband of 35 years and best friend to Sarah, nee Mullin; loving father of Shannon (Rob) Feineis, Rebecca (fiancé Tracy Walsh) Mandel, and Rachel (fiancé Cole Bruggeman) Mandel, adored Papa of Clara and Danny; devoted son of Mickey and the late Gerald Mandel; cherished brother of Glenn (Diane Redelin) Mandel; and Scott (Serena Sacks) Mandel; treasured brother-in-law, uncle and friend to many. Mark was a Doctor of Pharmacy and owner of Mark Drugs in Roselle and Deerfield. He enjoyed travel, music, and collecting antique British cars. For twenty years Mark directed the Run for the Roses Race benefitting Tourette Syndrome Association. Mark loved people and lived to help them. The service will be private, but will be Zoomed on Monday at 4:00 p.m. CDT at www.goldmanfuneralgroup.com. You are welcome to attend a virtual Kaddish and Shiva for Mark Mandel. It will occur nightly at 7:00 p.m. from Tuesday, April 6th through Tuesday, April 13th.

The format will be a 5 minute welcome and introduction to Zoom tools. Then Glenn Mandel, Mark's brother, will lead the kaddish. After the kaddish Glenn will moderate a discussion where participants will be able to speak if they choose. Please plan on limiting your contribution to two minutes if possible. Each session will be 30 minutes long.
