Obituary

Lorraine A. Rubin, 99, passed away on March 25, 2024. Beloved wife and best friend of the late Lawrence for 64 wonderful years; loving mother of Sandra (Gene) Glass, Maxine (Bruce) Kirchgessner and Janice (Jack) Friedman; cherished grandmother of Michelle (Justin) Thompson, Kyle (Andrea) Rosenthal, Jeremy (Laura) Sheinin and the late Joshua (Lori) Sheinin; much loved great grandmother of 8; dear aunt, great aunt and friend of many. Lorraine really enjoyed finance; she worked in banking for many years and was always continuing to learn. She loved to follow and invest in the stock market. When Lorraine retired, she became a snowbird in Florida but later followed her darling daughters and their families to Arizona. She stayed very active, from exercising to long walks to dancing. Most of all, Lorraine loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Interment at Shalom Memorial Park, Arlington Heights. Chapel Service, Friday, March 29, 2024; 10 AM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights.
