Obituary

Lorie M. Shapiro (nee' Blum), 83, passed away on July 7, 2024. Beloved wife and best friend of the late Howard for 60 wonderful years; loving mother of Russell (Lori), Mitchell ( Karin) and Suzanne (Matthew) Goldberg; cherished "Grammy" and "Dobby" of Alana, Eli, Abigail, Jonathan, Emily, Stephanie, Jennifer and Jordan; much loved sister of Carol Marx; loved aunt, cousin and friend of many. Lorie was an independent antique dealer at Collage Antiques in Arlington Heights for over 30 years. When she was not talking antiques, she was an amazing mother who was always a fierce advocate for her family, she was the life of the party and was generous to a fault. She will be deeply missed. Memorial donations may be made to Saving Tiny Hearts Society, www.savingtinyhearts.org. Interment Shalom Memorial Park. Chapel service, Tuesday, July 9, 2024; 2:30 PM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights.
