Obituary

Leonard J. Sklare, 85. Beloved husband for 62 years to Judy, nee Zweig; devoted father of Richard (Amy) Sklare, Ronald (Marcy) Sklare, and Allison (Jesse) Criz; proud grandfather of Samantha (Brandon), Joshua, Jared, Andie, Shelby, Brody, Jamie, Simone, and Miles; cherished brother of Lisa (the late Jerry) Klein and the late Berle, Bernice, Jack, Bob, and Frank; dear brother-in-law of Norman Zweig; will be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Leonard was a treasured member of "The Little Gentlemen" - a friend group he maintained for over 50 years. He was also a proud Army veteran and spent many hours volunteering for the USO. He will be deeply missed. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the USO, www.uso.org. Chapel service Monday, April 8, 10 AM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Interment following at Shalom Memorial Park.
