Obituary

Larry J. Wolfson, 78, passed away suddenly on February 17, 2021; best friend and loving husband of Mellie (nee Roth) for 57 years; loving dad of Lainie (David) Rabinowitz and Bryna (Michael) Quandt; proud papa of Sydney, Lindsey, Jonathan and Matthew; dear uncle of Michael (Candy) Singer, Alan (Nancy) Singer, Sheryl (Barry) Cohen, David (Jennifer) Roth and Heidi (Stuart) Gold; cherished son of the late Oscar and the late Jean Block Wolfson; much loved son-in-law of the late Harry and the late Ida Roth; adored brother of the late Zira Singer and brother in law of the late Barry Roth.
To know him was to love him. He made lifelong friendships with people he met through his travels. He loved reconnecting with old friends and was head of his high school reunion committee. For over 60 years you could find Larry hard at work at Block Steel Corporation, starting in the warehouse and eventually serving as President. When he wasn't at work you could find Larry in his backyard pool chair or on his ipad texting with his grandchildren; his wife, family and grandkids were his world. Due to the pandemic, services are private. In lieu of flowers, donations are appreciated to Congregation Beth Shalom (www.bethshalomnb.org) or to the charity of your choice.
