Obituary

Kathryn "Kay" Gdalman, nee Minor, 105. Beloved wife of the late Louis; devoted mother of Kathryn Ann Gdalman (William) Pomerantz and Louis II "Chip" (Cindy) Gdalman; cherished grandmother of Rachel Kathryn Pomerantz (Michael Pitler), Mary Curtis Pomerantz (Pier Federico Gherardini), Hannah Gdalman (Aaron Griffiths), and Emma Rose Gdalman (fiancé Josh Henshaw); proud great-grandmother of Alder and Hawthorn; loving sister of Cheryn (the late Wayne) Markert, the late Marie Lambert, Wilbur Minor, Olan Minor Jr., and Joann Feldhaus; dear daughter of the late Anna and Olan Curtis Minor; caring aunt, cousin, and friend of many. Kay grew up in Wheatfield, Indiana before moving to Chicago in 1937 to attend St. Luke's Hospital School of Nursing. She was very proud of her nursing career and remained active in the field for most of her life. She married Lou in 1941 and they raised their family in Hyde Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice. Graveside service Friday, May 9, 11:30 AM at Shalom Memorial Park, 1700 W.
