Obituary
Karen J. Sholder, passed away unexpectedly on December 29, 2024, following a brief illness. She would have celebrated her 73rd birthday next week, her favorite day of the year. Karen is survived by her dog, Jasper Mousse; daughter, Katie; stepson, Sean; grandson, Jacob; many nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends, and ALL of the dogs that she devoted her life to saving.
Whether through traditional dog rescue, where she found homes for so many, or by offering their humans help and advice, ensuring they had the best available food, toys, and medicine, or most recently, by working to preserve the breed standards of her beloved poodles, Karen's work on behalf of dogs never stopped. Whatever she was doing, Karen worked tirelessly at it and her only concern in every situation was "what's best for the dog".
While the suddenness of her passing has left Karen's loved ones struggling to process their grief, they find peace with the knowledge that she met Jack Doodle at the Rainbow Bridge, and they are now together again and for eternity.
