Judith "Judy" Kaplan, nee Rosenberg, 91, July 19, 2025. Beloved wife of the late Martin for 67 wonderful years; loving mother of Jill (Jeff Axelrod) Kaplan, Mark (Cheryl) Kaplan and Bob (Dara Altshuler) Kaplan. Devoted Grammy to Hannah (Bennett) Nast, Charlie (Laura Christensen Garcia) and Sophie Kaplan; Alex (Joanna Cohen) Kaplan and Chase Kaplan; Julia and Ariel Axelrod. Cherished sister-in-law of Marge (the late Harvey) Kaplan. Adored aunt and great aunt to many. Predeceased by parents Joseph and Minnie Rosenberg, siblings Florence (Alex) Dolnick and David Bernstein, and many loving siblings-in-law. Lovingly cared for by Alice and Perla. Judy was a gifted classically trained pianist who as a youth played Beethoven's third piano concerto with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, but her greatest sense of joy and purpose came from her devotion to family.
